Ogun guber candidate dies days after getting ticket
A guber candidate in Ogun has died after battling an undisclosed sickness less than 24 hours.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP),
Prof. David Bamgbose, formerly a senatorial candidate of the PDP, but frozen out of the party, defected to the PRP and got the guber ticket about seven days before his death on Friday.
According to the Assistant Senior Pastor of Peace and Love Church, Mr Olayemi Oduntan, the late provost of the Yelwa Central College of Education complained of tiredness on Thursday.
Bamgbose was then taken to a hospital in Olomore, where he was referred to the Federal Medical Central, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.
“We opted for the state hospital, Lantoro because of the urgency and he was admitted to the emergency ward where he was placed on oxygen till Friday, “ the pastor told journalists.
“I got back to the hospital this morning and I met him breathing too fast and heavy. I was where I went to get him some prescribed medication when he passed on.”
