MAMU: DSS raids deatained negotiator’s home, office
From Cairo to Kano, the Desert Herald publisher Tukur Mamu is now in full grasp of the DSS following his repatriation on Wednesday.
The DSS operatives just raided his Kaduna home and office, carting away laptops, others early on Thursday.
Since his arrest and detention, first in Cairo on Tuesday, and later in Kano on Wednesday, reports and intelligence have been surfacing, linking the self-appointed negotiator to terrorist organization in Egypt, and other parts of Africa.
Mamu, who is also the media aide to the known advocate for bandit amnesty Sheikh Gumi, has been on the radar of intelligence communities home and abroad.
He has been accused of sympathizing with the terrorists, manipulating the ransom paid, and communicating with terrorist leaders.
Mamu climed he was arrested in Egypt on his way to Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj. But security sources said he was heading for Dubai to meet terrorist leader.
