Biafra League militants blow up police station in Cameroon, kill 2 officers
A militant group, perceived the Black Marine, a militant wing of the separatist Biafra Nations League (BnL), at the weekend detonated explosives which blew up a Police Station in Cameroon. The militants were said to have blown up a police station in Idabato division in Bakassi Peninsula, killing 2 Cameroonian police officers in the attack.
The militants were said to have released BnL operational commander, Henry Edet, being detained by the Cameroonian security in the past months.
Three members of the suspected Black Marine militant group were said to have invaded the police station at about 11.00am on Saturday, detonating explosive device which compelled the security personnel to flee for safety as two officers were killed.
The freed BnL commander was said to have escaped to an unknown destination.
