Omatek boss dies of cancer
The Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Omatek Ventures Plc Mrs Florence Seriki is dead.
According to information available to National Daily, Mrs. Seriki died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) of cancer.
Mrs Seriki, a notable entrepreneur and industrialist, started Omatek Ventures Plc over 20 years ago, she was an engineer by training, and was the founder and chief executive officer of the first completely knocked down computer factories in Nigeria and Ghana.
Seriki was a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, Nigerian Computers Society (NCS) and the Institute of Directors.
She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
She was married to Ola Seriki, but their marriage crashed many years ago.
