Fintiri commends Appeal Court’s judgement sacking Sen Abbo
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has commended the judgement of the Court of Appeal which nullified the election of Senator Ishaku Abbo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and declared Rev Amos Yohanna of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the duly elected Senator for Adamawa North Senatorial District.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, in a statement indicated that Rev Yohanna had challenged Senator Ishaku Abbo’s victory from the tribunal to the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The CPS indicated that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, responding to the outcome of the decision of the Court last Monday, celebrated that the Court’s verdict was the ultimate triumph of the will of the people of Adamawa North as expressed at the polling units.
According to CPS, “while congratulating Amos Yohanna over his victory at the Court of Appeal which sacked Senator Ishaku Abbo, Governor Fintiri noted that, “The judgment of the Court has further restored the confidence Nigerians repose in the institution of the judiciary and the hope for the sustenance of democracy in our country.”
He commended the Court for its courage in upholding justice and reaffirming the saying that the “Judiciary is the last hope of the common man.
Governor Fintiri maintained that “the Court remains the true arbiter that restores power to the people.”

Ishaku Abbo: Governor Fintiri Hails Appeal Courts Decision
Adamawa State Gov., Rt Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has hailed the verdict by the Court of Appeal declaring Rev Amos Yohanna of the People’s Democratic Party as the duly elected Senator of Adamawa North Senatorial District.
Rev Yohanna, had challenged Senator Ishaku Abbo’s victory from the tribunal to the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Responding to the outcome of the decision of the Court on Monday, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said the Court’s verdict was the ultimate triumph of the will of the people of Adamawa North as expressed at the polling units.
