Again group springs in southeast for Atiku 2019
The Atiku Presidential Mandate Network (APMAN) has called on youths to support the former Nigeria’s Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 presidential bid.
According to Samuel Ngbede, the Ebonyi Coordinator of APMAN, the former vice president has all it takes to move the country forward, describing him as a pro-youth politician.
“Abubakar is the right man for the job because of his enormous political and economic experience which he will deploy to steer the country back to economic prosperity and political stability,” Ngbede said on Friday.
“He also has great respect for the youths of the country and we are certain that Abubakar ‘s presidency will enhance greater youths involvement in national politics.’’
Ngbede said that the group has “lined up a number of measures and strategies to mobilise the youths of Ebonyi to support the emergence of the Turaki Adamawa and we are committed to this project.’’
He said that past administrations did not do much for the youths, and assured that Abubakar would give youths their rightful place if elected.
“Youth have opportunity to get things right now that the nation is about to elect the next president, and we as youths must rise up to take our destinies in our own hands.
“We must rise above ethnic, tribal, religious and parochial political sentiment and rally round the former vice president to actualise his ambition, ” he said.
He appealed to the electorate to make wise choice by supporting the presidential aspiration of Abubakar.
Political groups have been springing up in support of Abubakar’s presidential ambition since he defected from the APC last year.
The former VP, however, has not declared his intention officially.
