Abducted son of NEF leader Ango wins PDP ticket while he remains in captivity
Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, the son of the convener of Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Ango Abdullahi, kidnapped on the Kaduna-Abuja train has won the PDP primary for the Sabon Gari federal constituency.
Sadiq was allegedly released May 2 after spending days with the terrorists who abducted him and 60 others March 28.
But Ango Abdullahi, a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, told the Daily Trust he still prays and hopes that his son will be released soon.
While in captivity, Sadiq won with 28 votes as he defeated his rivals, including Hadiza Muhammad, Salisu Abdulhamid and Miss Paulina.
