Lagos West PDP senatorial primaries ongoing
The accreditation of delegates for the Peoples Democratic Party’s Senatorial District Primaries in Lagos West started by 7:35pm.
Each local government has delegates in tandem with number of wards to elect the PDP candidate for the 2023 polls.
The two aspirants contending for the Senatorial seat are Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) and Mr. Yomi Ogungbe.
Five INEC officials were on ground at the venue of the primaries to supervise the process.
Three delegates per wards are expected in each of the ten local governments that constitutes the Senatorial District this includes: Agege, Alimosho, Amuwo-Odofin, Ajeromi Ifelodun,Badagry,Ikeja, Ifako-Ijaiye,Mushin, Oshodi Isolo and Ojo.

Also an addition of a physically challenged person and a national delegate from each local government brings the total figure of delegates up to 356.
Many of the delegates who have been waiting since 3pm for the arrival of party’s election officials from its national headquarters, were initially of the view that there is another venue for the primaries until their arrival.
Dapo Bamidele one of the delegates from Mushin local government gave a break down of the total numbers of delegates expected for the primaries.
