Adeleke presents N273bn 2024 budget proposal to Osun House of Assembly
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Thursday presented a budget proposal of N273, 908, 997, 410.00 to the State House of Assembly for legislation.
The Governor, presenting the budget, marked: “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery” at the House plenary, highlighted that the budget contains N165, 654, 976, 700.00 recurrent expenditure and N108, 254, 020, 710.00 capital expenditure.

According to Governor Adeleke, “the budget is aimed at rebuilding the battered economy of the state.
“This budget presentation is in conformity with the existing laws of the state which stipulate that the budget should be presented to the House before the end of the year.”
The Governor said that with the cooperation of the lawmakers, Osun State would be taken to greater heights.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, had assured of the willingness of the House to work with the Executive arm of government to ensure the successful implementation of the budget.
According to the Speaker, “This budget will be approved with a strong sense of responsibility.
“The Assembly will deliver a budget that addresses the challenges in the state.”
