Amotekun overruns kidnappers, rescues remaining 3 of 12 victims in Ondo
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, on Friday completed the search and rescue operations in the forest, overrunning kidnappers of 12 travelers in Ondo State. The Amotekun operatives successfully rescued the three remaining victims of the 12 kidnapped victims of a 18- seater passenger bus on a journey from Abuja to Lagos. The bus was hijacked on Wednesday by the kidnappers at Ifira Akoko, Akoko South-East Local, Ondo State.
Amotekun had on Thursday rescued 9 victims among the 12 kidnaped victims on Wednesday.
The Commander of the Ondo Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, confirming the successful search and rescue operations, disclosed that the victims were reunited with their families on Saturday.
