APC says Fayose, Wike, runaway Justice Liman, have something together
The ruling APC has called on the nation’s security agencies to keep an eye on Rivers Gov. Nyesom Woke and his Ekiti counterpart Ayo Fayose who likely may have something to hide with respect to the state-sponsored raids on seven judges weekend.
Justice Mihammed Liman, the State Security Service said, got money from Wike to buy the judgement that revoked Ali Modu Sheriff’’s mandate as PDP chairmanship, as earlier upheld by a high court.
The APC, in a press release on Monday, said it wondered why Fayose would be crying more than the bereaved by accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of dictatorship.
According to the party, Buhari strictly respects the principle of the rule of law and also adheres to the constitutional provisions of separation of power between the three arms of government.
But the APC says it will not to join issues on matters before the courts because it will be prejudice. “We advise the PDP to tow the same line and allow judicial processes run it normal and legitimate course,” the party said.
It also added that allegations that on-going corruption investigations and trials are politically-motivated by the President and the APC are baseless.
“The APC urges Nigerians not to be distracted by the PDP and their agents plot to discredit the hugely-successful war against corruption.”
It insisted the PDP does not have the luxury of dictating how the current administration carries out its legitimate duty of catching looters, as long as it conforms to the rule of law.
