This, according to the lawamker who represents Rabah/Wurno Federal Constituency, is sequel to the resolution of the House of Representatives.

He confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja.

“I recently moved a motion on the floor of the House in which I made some prayers.

“The House has resolved that the Chief of Army Staff should immediately mobilise more men and resources to Rabah/Wurno axis.

“We should also have pin down posts in Gandi, Rarah junction, Tumbula and Wurno towns,” he said.

According to Al-Mustapha, there is no any Army formation in the whole of Sokoto East Senatorial District.

“But now with this happy development, I am sure that rapid response to distress calls would be faster, more effective and less bureaucratic,” he said.

Al-Mustapha decried that bandits had continued to wreck havoc in the area with recurring cases of banditry, kidnapping, killings, maiming and cattle rustling, among other forms of criminality.

The lawmaker however said: “I am also calling on the IG-P, NSA, DSS and other security agencies to deploy more men and resources to the constituency.

“This is to be able to comb the bushes and nip banditry in the bud.

“With positive intelligence gathered, that will assist to jointly nip all these nefarious acts in the bud.
