Babangida’s condition worsens? Family gives update on his health
The family source has said that former president Babangida is alive – He is receiving treatment in Germany and will soon return to Nigeria share on Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp. The family of the former military president Ibrahim Babangida has given an update on his health condition. A source close to the family has debunked death rumours saying that Babangida is alive after all.
He has said that the former ruler is in Germany, where he went for treatment, and is expected back in country any moment from now.
“I do not know where these rumours are coming from,” the source said. “It is false. “This is inhuman. “We should pray for him, wish him well and not dead. “We are expecting him in Nigeria any moment from today because he has been in Germany for treatment.” Meanwhile, everything appeared to be normal in Minna despite the fact that the rumour had gone viral.

Mohammed, Babangida’s son, was seen at the EL-AMIN International school where he picked up his children from school around 1pm on June 6. He, however, did not speak to the reporters as he seemed not to be aware of the rumour.
The son of former head of state earlier confirmed the illness of his father. He stated that Babangida is still recovering after a corrective surgery recently as a result of radiculopathy disease.
Babangida’s illness became public when he attended the valedictory dinner for Justice Fati Lami Abubakar, the former Niger state chief judge, and was aided out of the venue before the end of the event.
Nigeria incumbent leader Muhammadu Buhari is currently in London to receive treatment for ear infection. The president is expected back in Nigeria in ten days.
