Bandits say 81-yr-old too old, kidnap kids, others for N20m
When kidnappers hit the home of Pa Andrew Umoh, they were not looking for bone-old people or too little children to grab.
But as they broke into the 86-year-old man’s home last Tuesday at Urgwan Sauri, Chiku LGA, Kaduna, they wouldn’t leave empty-handed.
So they snatched five people, including four kids.
Umoh asked them to leave the kids and take him.
According to Umoh, they told him he was too old to be kidnapped.
They took the five, and fled.
Days later, the bandits have contacted Pa Umoh, asking for N20 million in ransom.
“My son Peter is he breadwinner here. I have never touched a million naira all my life, let alone N20 million,” he said as pleaded for help.
Chikun is among the four LGAs badly infested by bandits. The criminals have been storming the areas, snatching people , and vanishing into the forest.
