Boko Haram abducts Women, Youths in Borno
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly kidnapped four women and six youths in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Tuesday said that the insurgents on motorcycles invaded the community and three others, namely Mittiri, Akali and Arribari.
“Our intelligence report had indicated that the insurgents are now operating in Dalla Fatimiri on about 10 motorcycles.
“Our men of Anti-vandalism and Intelligence Unit of the Command on Friday reported the kidnapping of four youths in Kalari village in Konduga local government area,” he said.
Abdullahi explained that the insurgents abducted their victims due to their desperation to recruit more youths in order to sustain their fight in the state.
He urged Nigerians to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities within their various communities to security agencies. Also, he advised Internally Displaced Persons against returning to unsafe homes.
