Boko Haram: Suicide bomber strikes in Borno, seven dead
Far from claims by the Federal Government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the war against Boko Haram is being won systematically has been turning out to be either false or fake news as the terrorists who have turned guerilla soldiers are still on the offensive and causing havoc in the North East, Nigeria.
A male suicide bomber was gathered to have detonated explosives in a Mosque in Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State, on Monday during morning prayer, leading to the death seven persons
National Daily gathered that Malam Ali Kolo, Head of Vigilance Group in the area acknowledged that seven other persons, including a child, sustained injuries after the suicide bomber detonated the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) tied to his body during the congregational prayer.
Kolo had explained that the suicide bomber sneaked into the Mosque at Mainari area of Konduga where he detonated the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) yjay killed seven persons and injured others on Monday.
“It is not clear how the suicide bomber infiltrated the town and attacked the mosque.
“The building collapsed during the explosion, and the victims were evacuated from the rubble,” he had said.
Also, Alhaji Bello Dambatta, the Head of Rescue Team, Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), was gathered to have disclosed that the injured persons had been taken to the Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri, for treatment.
