Cattle Colony: Gov. Okorocha disappoints Buhari
Imo state will not give any land in Imo State to the Federal Government for a cattle colony.
Gov. Rocha Okorocha said this while dismissing the speculation that he had adopted the proposed colonies and ceded a part of the state to herders.
“This information that Imo has ceded a part for the proposed cattle colony is wicked, unfounded and untrue, although it represents the typical product of warped thinking of desperate mischief makers via the social media,” he said true his information commissioner Prof. Nnamdi Obiaraeri on Tuesday.
“Imo people and members of the public are therefore advised to disregard these baseless and laughable rumours.
“It is unfortunate that manufacturing wicked and capricious lies on an hourly basis has become the hallmark or DNA of desperate opposition politicians in our dear state.”
Gov. Okorocha’s will surprise Nigerians, many of whom believe, the southeast governor is a die-hard loyalist of President Muhammadu Buhari and his federal government.
In fact the APC Governor Forum chairman has been at fore-front of Buhari’s re-election in 2019m advocating for automatic endorsement by his colleague.
The cattle colony scheme has been generating controversies across the nation where the idea has only been welcome in the northern part, and outrightly rejected in the southwest, southeast, southsouth, and some part of the north central like Benue.
