Chelse tops premiership League Table, Lukaku scores with both legs to seal 3-0 victory over Aston Villa

Chelsea on Saturday topped the English Premiership League Table after a spectacular 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Stanford Stadium on Saturday. Chelsea’s signing and home coming top striker from Inter Milan of Italy, Lukaku, scored with both legs in each half of the game to seal the team’s victory over the visiting Aston Villa.

Lukaku had a good understanding with midfielder Kavocic to secure victory for Chelsea. Lukaku sent Chelsea to the lead in the 14th minute of the first half with a through pass in the 18-yard box, striking with his right foot after dribbling past the last defender with his left foot.

Aston Villa took control of the first half after conceding the goal. Chelsea goal keeper, Mendy, was on duty in the half, making two consecutive saves from Aston Villa attempts to level scores. Thiago Silva also made a crucial save after Aston Villa attackers displaced the keeper and rescued the team from conceding a goal in the first half.

Kovacic made it two for Chelsea in the early minutes of the second half. Thereafter, Aston Villa was made ordinary in the game by Chelsea which took control of the second half.

The introduction of Werner changed the pattern of Chelsea’s game, bringing more energy for the team towards the end of the second half.

Lukaku, again receiving another through pass, fired past the Aston Villa keeper with his left leg to make it three for Chelsea in the 91st minute.

Chelsea at the end of the Saturday matches, topped the English Premiership table with 10 points, followed by Manchester City with 9 points, Manchester United 9 points, West Ham 9 points and others.
