Councillor caught with AK-47 around kidnappers den in Kaduna
A councilor in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been arrested for illegal possession of AK-47 around the Giwa Local Government Area of the state.
The area where Abdul Adamu Kinkiba was caught is close to a den of the bandits terrorising many parts of the state.
The chairman of Soba Local Government Area, Suleiman Yahaya Richifa, confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect is the councilor representing Kinkiba ward in the council.
“I’m in serious grief about the news. Please allow me to overcome my shock,” he told the Daily Trust.
The state command of the police have yet to confirm it.
