Court sentences cross-gender dresser, Bobrisky, to 6 months imprisonment for abuse of Naira notes
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, on Friday, sentenced transgender dresser, Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, to six months imprisonment for abuse of the Naira without an option of fine.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) had arrested and arraigned Bobrisky for abusing and mutilating Naira notes. The transgender dresser was earlier on Friday, April 5 convicted by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal high Court, Lagos; while the court reserved sentencing for a later date.

According to the EFCC, Bobrisky had pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of spraying and mutilating N490,000 at a public event.
The Judge, sentencing the convict on Friday, directed that the jail term should commence on March 24, 2024, when EFCC arrested Bobrisky.
The convict had admitted before the presiding judge that he is male when asked about his sex.
