Drayson Little is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who has gained immense success through his business of dropshipping.
If you are wondering what that is- Dropshipping is when a vendor fulfils orders from a third party and has them shipped directly to the customer. In dropshipping, one does not need to have an upfront physical capital to start, unlike most retail start-ups.
Upon asking how he got started with his business Drayson Little reveals that he got into dropshipping when he entered his sophomore year of university.
He was brainstorming ideas on how to make money while stuck in bed recovering from surgery. After coming across several ads on dropshipping, he started to test it out himself.
At first, he hardly earned any profits from it but eventually after understanding the gist of it become successful after months of trial and errors.
Unfortunately, his parents were against him running a business as they believed business was a waste of time unless he became the next Steve Jobs or Jeff Bezos.
But he still continued to follow his dream and has now, become a successful entrepreneur and a renowned contributor to the industry.
When Drayson Little started in the dropshipping industry, he used to sell only iPhone covers. But now he has a growing range of products on offer which generate over $2.2 million in revenue annually.
Over the years he has tested many different types of products to find out which is worth selling instead of just focusing on the cheapest stock option.
According to him, good customer service, proper promotion and creative marketing strategy play a huge role in maintaining and flourishing his business as through this he can increase his website traffic and indirectly increasing his number of potential customers.
The young entrepreneur personally thinks impulse buying is responsible for a good deal of sales and also thinks that he has a better understanding of what encourages an impulse purchase from a customer which makes him stay ahead of his rivals.
Finally, on asking Drayson’s top three drop shipping tips, he said firstly, one should not give up if their first product doesn’t work out well.
Secondly, people should always test out different strategies until they find that one winning strategy and lastly one should always put themselves in the audience’s shoes.
He advises that people who are dropshipping should treat it as their full-time job and put their 200% focus into their E-commerce store.
