Why I left PDP – Emeka Ihedioha
Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has, in a media interaction, revealed why he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the former PDP chieftain in Imo State, “my supporters, both nationally and at home, felt the party had lost its bearing and there was a need for us to forge ahead.”
Emeka Ihedioha, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives on bthe PDP platform, noted that he dumped the party because of the desires of his large follower-ship.
Meanwhile, the PDP has been in a turmoil of crisis since the 2023 general elections.
Ihedioha had on April 23, 2024, resigned his membership of the PDP. He communicated his resignation from the PDP through a letter to the party’s ward chairman at Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State.
