DSS disowns advisory alert in circulation
The Department of State Services (DSS) has disowned in its entirety a security alert currently making waves online.
The Service Spokesman, Dr. Peter Afunanya drew attention to the fake security advisory last night, in a statement.
“The fake alert apparently made a counterfeit of an innocuous internal advisory issued by the regional organisation for the attention of its workers but used the logo of the DSS as the agency raising the alarm,’’ the statement said.
In his reaction, Afunanya denied that the security agency issued any advisory to Nigerians.
“This is fake,” he said, drawing attention to the work of mischief- makers.
