There have been warnings in Nigeria against military invasion of Niger Republic by ECOWAS forces. Many have cautioned the Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, to resist the temptation or foreign pressures to approve military invasion of Niger, pointing out the consequences of war in the neighbouring country.
