EFCC apprehends former NDDC MD, Nsima Ekere, over alleged diversion of N47bn
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday apprehended a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere, who is being quizzed over allegations of diversion of N47 billion of the commission.
EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwajaren, had indicated that the arrested NDDC former MD diverted the alleged funds via registered contractors of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Nsima was NDDC Managing Director from 2016 to 2018 and resigned to contest the 2019 elections. He was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom in the 2019 elections.
