EFCC traces aviation funds to ex-SGF Anyim, detains PDP stalwart

The EFCC has detained former SGF and Ebonyi PDP stalwart Anyim Pius Anyim for his complicity I aviation funds mismanagement under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

New APC drop-in Stella Oduah was aviation minister then. She too is under probe by the commission.

Some of the funds have been traced to a company where Anyim is a director. He was interrogated for six hours on this in Abuja on Sunday, according to reports.

He might be detained till Monday.

Oduah hopped into the ruling APC weeks ago, following a similar decision by another former aviation minister Femi Fani Kayode who is also under probe.

Anyim was supposed to have defected to the APC  too, along with Ebonyi Gov Dave Umahi.
