Femi-Fani reacts after Ifeanyi Okowa tackles Kashim Shettima’s NBA conference statement
The former minister of culture and Tourism, Femi Fani Kayode has recently reacted to the reply the Vice presidential candidate of the opposition party, Ifeanyi Okowa gave out to his APC counterpart, Kashim Shettima over the statement he made in the Nigerian Bar Association conference.
It was reported a few hours ago that Ifeanyi Okowa who is the running mate to the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has hit out at his counterpart, Kashim Shettima for declaring that he would be responsible for security while his principal, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will oversee the economy if APC emerges victorious in the 2023 election polls.
Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa carpeted Kashim Shettima for allegedly trying to delegitimize the role of the president, who the Constitution has made the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
In reaction to the critics from the opposition party, Femi Fani Kayode noted that Kashim Shettima did not suggest or said that he would usurp the Constitution functions of the president if elected. Adding to that, He states that the president has the power to assign whatever role or sector he deems fit to the Vice president at any point, which includes security.

However, He also stated that it is not the work of the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate of the opposition party (PDP) to tell their APC counterpart how to run their Government.
