FG identifies 5 transport companies, routes for the 50% fare cut operations
The Federal Government has identified five transport companies that would be involved in operating the 50% transport fares reduction ordered by President Bola Tinubu during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, had in a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, disclosed the presidential intervention by President Tinubu directing 50% fares reduction on roads transport between Thursday, December 21, 2023 and Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Thereafter, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, identified the transport companies patronized by the federal government for the 50% fares reduction operations, including the routes to be covered across the country, from the South to the North.
According to Bayo Onanuga, the transportation companies for the scheme are:
God Is Good ( GIG)
Chisco Transport
Young Shall Grow
God Bless Ezenwata
Area Motor.
The routes include:

Lagos – Jos
Lagos – Enugu
Lagos – Onitsha
Lagos – Owerri
Lagos – Aba
Lagos – Abakaliki
Lagos – Nsukka
Lagos – Uyo
Lagos-Kaduna-Zaria

Onitsha-Kano
Onisha-Lagos
Onisha-Jos
Onisha-Abuja
