Flood kills 3 in Lagos
About 3 persons had been declared missing after the two days rainfall last weekend – Saturday to Sunday – in Lagos
The Southwest Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, had disclosed in a Post-emergency Phase Assessment, that three siblings died following the flooding from the continuous rainfall, adding that eight persons were rescued during the heavy downpour.
NEMA’s statement indicated that the three siblings identified as Michael, aged 18, Elizabeth, 17 and Timi, 14, were living at a Church House, in an uncompleted building.
They swept away while trying to relocate from their room to the main church structure, the statement revealed.
