Fresh attack on Kaduna community leaves 10 people dead, scores injured
A renewed attack in Langson community in Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State by suspected Fulani militias claimed the lives of 10 people while many sustained various degrees of injuries.
The attackers, it was learnt, struck around 9pm on Tuesday, shot sporadically, and also looted a shop in the area before they were repelled by mobile policemen.
Following the renewed attacks on Atyap land by the suspected Fulani militias, the Atyap Community Development Association, ACDA, has passed a vote of no confidence on a section of the security operatives deployed to the area to protect lives and property.
Dr. Sam Achie, the ACDA National President, who made the revelation at the scene of attack, lamented the silence of government to the attacks in the area and its inability to take proactive measures to bring the ugly situation to an end.

He said, “I urge the government to match words with action by arresting the perpetrators since the government know them and where they are.”
The ACDA National President also thanked the Mopol in Langson community who were said to have repelled the attackers and appealed to them to keep on with the good work of defending the territorial integrity of the country for peace to reign.
He also called on the people to continue to remain on alert to protect their communities and properties against the oppressors who are bent on taking over their ancestral land, saying, “We have to protect our ancestral land because we have no any other place to go to.”
Mr. Francis Sani Zimbo, the local government council chairman, while confirming the attack, appealed to government to deploy more security to Zango Kataf to arrest the recurring attacks on innocent lives and property in the area.
