Gov. Bello supports consensus national chairman
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convention planning committee, has expressed support for adoption of consensus in the election of the national chairman of the party at the national convention ion Saturday. The governor stated that emergence of a consensus national chairman will strengthen the APC and consolidate the party for the 2023 general elections.
Governor Bello disclosed that all arrangements are in place for the national convention where delegated will elect members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).
President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the adoption of a consensus candidate for the APC national chairman, and had dialogue with APC governors, lawmakers, party founding fathers and other stakeholders on consensus agreement.
