Gov Obaseki assigns portfolios to new commissioners in Edo
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Thursday approved the assignment of portfolios to the new Commissioners recently inaugurated as members of the Edo State Executive Council (EXCO). The commissioners have been directed by the Edo State Government to resume work immediately in their various ministries.
The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., in a statement in Benin City on Thruway, declared: “This notice takes immediate effect. All the commissioners are expected to resume at their various Ministries and begin to function in their various capacities.”
According to the SSG, the Commissioners and their portfolios are as follows:
1. Christopher Osaretin Nehikhare – Ministry of Communication and Orientation
2. Dr. Joan Osa-Oviawe -Ministry of Education
3. Isoken Omo -Ministry of Housing, Urban and Regional Planning & Development
4.Stephen Ehikioya Idehenre – Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security
5. Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi – Ministry of Justice/Attorney General
6. Samuel Alli (Dr.) – Ministry of Health
7. Monday Osaigbovo – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
8. Enaholo Ojiefo – Ministry of Mining and Energy
9. – Uyi Oduwa-Malaka – Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism
10. Adaze Aguele-Kalu – Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning
11. Christabel Omoh Ekwu – Ministry of Social Development & Gender Issues
12. Patrick Uanseru – Ministry of Business, Trade & Cooperatives
13. Ethan Osaze Uzamere – Ministry of Roads & Bridges
14. Kingsley Uwagbale – Ministry of Public Security and Safety
15. Joshua Omokhodion -Ministry of Environment and Sustainability.
