Governor Nyesom Wike’s armored Mercedes S-Class is an ultimate mobile fortress
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike armored Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan is an ultimate mobile fortress.
The flagship armored Mercedes S-Class boasts protection level that will allow its occupants to safely drive through war zones.
The Mercedes S-Class is one of his three official vehicles, including an armoured BMW X7 sedan and a Range Rover SUV.
Since coming into power in 2015, Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, the sixth and current Governor of Rivers State, has vowed to continue to support the fight against crime within and outside of the State.
Just last month, Nyesom Wike donated 14 ballistic gunboats to security agencies in the state as part of efforts to support the Federal Government’s fight against crime.

Official Car
As the number one citizen of Rivers State, Wike is entitled to an official car that should be able to safeguard him, especially at this period of time when the present government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari has been overwhelmed by the insecurity challenges.
Unlike the bulletproof Lexus LX 570 SUV, a favorite amongst State Governors in Nigeria, Wike has opted for three different vehicles from different brands as official vehicles.
Range Rover
BMW X7
Since 2015, Wike has been seen in armoured BMW X7 sedan, Range Rover SUV and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan, the later which was recently showed off by his team and which he rarely rides in.
Wike’s ultimate mobile fortress combines luxury found in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, including cutting-edge tech and countless comforts, and an ultimate protection in its DNA.

The S-Class is powered by two engines : a 429-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine on the S500 or a 496-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 on the S580.
Both powertrains are supplemented by a 48-volt hybrid system (called EQ Boost) and pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
