Grammy: By the virtue of section 25 of Nigeria’s constitution, Angelique Kidjo is a Nigerian – Reno Omokri
The former special assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has taken out his time to slam some Nigerians who are busy attacking a popular Beninese musician and song writer, Angelique Kidjo, who recently defeated Nigerians at the Grammy.
While speaking, the former presidential spokesperson made it known to Nigerians that by the virtue of section 25 of Nigeria’s constitution, Angelique Kidjo is a Nigerian, because she speaks Yoruba language fluently.
He went further and stated that most Nigerians are ignorance, for them to be attacking her, just because she defeated Nigerians at the Grammy. He ended his tweet by asking a question, so as to know whether Nigeria can defeat Nigeria.
Based on what Reno Omokri has just said here, I really think that he made a valid point. I don’t see any reason why Nigerians should be attacking Angelique Kidjo, just because she defeated Nigerians to win the Grammy. We should be happy for her, because she is our sister.
