House of Reps jacks up tuition fee to N14m
A House committee has urged a federal institution authority to increase its school fee to N14 million because states institutions are charging N22.5 million.
The House of Representatives Committee on Finance demanded the increment from the N7.5 million the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, currently charges.
A similar institution in Ilorin, Kwara, the committee argued, charges N22.5m.
The panel held an interactive session
But the head of quality assurance of the college, Ibrahim Hirse, explained while giving hi presentation before the committee on the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper with the college authorities on Thursday.
Hirse said the college cannot increase the fee because the government wants to allow the masses to attend the school.
