How greed got cable thief electrocuted
A power infrastructure vandal got himself killed while cutting power cables the Osiri area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa, on Tuesday.
According to neighbours, the vandal took advantage of the power failure I the area that evening, and tried to make short work of the theft.
Unfortunately, the electricity distribution company restored power, and the man got trapped.
Neighbours woke up Wednesday an found him dead in a gutter
He succeeded in cutting two out of the cables.
Communities have been suffering from incessant power failure partly occasioned by activities of vandals and saboteurs.
