How man killed girlfriend in a fit of jealousy
One Enoch Yohanna has been arrested by the Bauchi state Police Command for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Ruth Amos after an argument.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Bauchi, the state capital, spokesman of the State Command, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil said detectives on patrol sighted the 28-year old lady lying in a pool of blood with wounds on her head and blood gushing from her mouth at the Sabon Kaura area of Bauchi metropolis.
Findings revealed that Amos met her sad end soon after Yohanna, 27, sighted her coming out of another man’s compound, and out of jealousy, accosted her, which led to an argument between them. In the process, he reportedly pushed her and she hit her head on the ground.

The statement stated that further investigation into the incident showed that the deceased and Yohanna were in a romantic relationship blessed with two children before her unfortunate death.
Yohanna, who resides in Gwallameji Doka, upon his arrest, was said to have voluntarily confessed to committing the crime.
The statement partly reads: “On October 7, 2021, at about 0445hrs, a Joint patrol team in collaboration with the Peace and security committee while on visibility patrol, sighted a young lady lying in a pool of blood with wounds on her head and blood gushing from her mouth at Sabon Kaura.
“The team evacuated the victim to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital Bauchi, where the medical doctor certified her dead.
“During the course of the investigation, one Hajara Amos aged 56-yrs of Bayara village was identified as the deceased’s mother and she also identified the deceased as Ruth Amos aged 28yrs of the same address.”
The command said the suspect will soon be profiled and charged to court.
