How the supremacy battle between Okorocha and Uzodinma may have been altered by Imo bye-election
Arguable though, Imo State is one of the states in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which is under the control of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), where the ruling party is being considered to have least chances of winning any electoral contest in the state. This opinion has been presented, with different logical points of views, by major opinion moulders, prominent politicians, political strategists, recognized political gladiators and concerned citizens of the Nation.
Mostly, majority of the opinion moulders, prominent politicians, political strategists, recognized political gladiators and concerned citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who have, sincerely, suggested the failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in any electoral contest in Imo State have, considerably, related the anticipated failure of the party to the political hullabaloo between the two most powerful members of the ruling party in Imo State, former Executive Governor of Imo State and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha; and the incumbent Executive Governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma.

Noticeably, the former Executive Governor of Imo State and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha; and the incumbent Executive Governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma, have been enmeshed in what seems to be destructive political rift, since the incumbent Governor, Hope Uzodinma, won the Governorship primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the 2019 Governorship election in Imo State.
Sincerely, the stances of the major opinion moulders, prominent politicians, political strategists, recognized political gladiators and concerned citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who suggested failure for All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, possibly, because of the political rift between Senator Rochas Okorocha and Governor Hope Uzodinma might not be, totally, wrong but the results of the Ngor-Okpala State Constituencies Bye-election in Imo State might have settled the supremacy battle, at least, for once.

It is in record that in Imo State, Blyden Amajurionwu of the APC was declared winner of the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency bye-election. Amajurionwu polled 9,248 votes to beat his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 7,161 votes at the bye-election.
Some things are sure and ascertained in this election, the Victor is a total effort of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s faction of the APC in Imo State and possibly, the results of the bye-election might have proven the superiority of Hope Uzodinma above the political influences of both Okorocha-led faction of APC in Imo State and that of PDP.
