Insecurity: Reno Omokri slams President Buhari for jetting out after attack on Presidential Guards Brigade
In the wake of the recent deadly attack on some personnel in the Presidential Guards Brigade, renowned writer and human rights activist, Reno Omokri has come out to slam Muhammadu Buhari for leaving the country shortly after the incident.
Recall that on Monday, July 25, 2022, several media outlets in the country reported that armed bandits had launched a deadly attack on some members of the elite military unit known as the Presidential Guards Brigade, injuring several of them in the process. The guards were said to have been on a routine patrol they were ambushed along the Bwari-Kubwa axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Reacting to the incident, Reno Omokri took to his Twitter handle to criticize President Buhari for jetting out to Liberia amid rising security threats in and around the nation’s FCT.
For those who are not aware, President Buhari left the country on Tuesday, July 26, for Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia, where he will be taking part in the country’s 175th Independence Anniversary celebrations. As a special guest of honor, Buhari will be delivering a lecture on the importance of security in the West African country.
