Journalist hit by stray bullet
A journalist working with the Kano State government-owned Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV), Naziru Idris Ya’u, has been hit by a stray bullet at the Government House in Kano.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 3. National Daily gathered that the b¥llet struck his shoulder shortly after he returned to the government residence after an assignment with Governor Abba Yusuf.
The reporter who sustained minor inj¥ry as a result, was rushed to the Government House Clinic where he was treated and discharged. Meanwhile, security officials at the government house have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances leading to the incident.
