Kano State Police intensify efforts to ensure security during Sallah celebrations
The Police Command in Kano State has announced it is stepping up efforts to address potential security threats before, during, and after the Sallah celebrations in the state.
Commissioner of Police (CP), Aliyu Bakori, made this statement while addressing officers and personnel of the command in Kano on Wednesday.
Bakori stressed the importance of vigilance and proactive measures among police officers to ensure public safety throughout the festivities in all parts of the state.
The CP highlighted social concerns such as touting, mobile phone snatching, and drug abuse among youths as major issues that would be tackled during the celebrations.
Bakori assured that the police would collaborate with sister agencies to address these challenges and further enhance security.
Additionally, in-house training programs would be conducted to improve the skills of police personnel working in the state.

“Residents should remain calm and go about their lawful activities without fear of harassment. The full weight of the law will be brought upon anyone found guilty of causing unrest,” Bakori stated.
