Kidnapped Kwara Queen rescued, monarch, driver still missing
The wife of a traditional ruler in Kwara who was abducted by kidnappers alongside her husband, Owa-Onire and a driver has been rescued by the Police while the whereabouts of the monarch and his driver are still unknown.
Recall that the monarch, his wife and their driver were abducted by yet to be identified gunmen in the Kwara South Senatorial District.
The spokesman of the Kwara state Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi who confirmed this on Saturday, said two suspects are currently being held by police in connection with the case.
Even though the wife of the king had been saved, efforts were still being made to save the other two victims.
Also, the state police commissioner, Paul Odama, has sent teams of investigators and the vigilante to the scene.
A detailed report would be made public as soon as investigation into the matter was concluded.
