Kuje Jailbreak: Another terrorist captured inside Abuja
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested one of the terrorists who escaped from the Kuje prison last week.
Suleiman Sidi was arrested in the early hours of Monday in Abuja, according to a statement by the agency’s spokesman Femi Babafemi.
Sidi was nabbed at the Area 1 motor park while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno State.
Upon search by NDLEA operatives, he was caught with wraps of cannabis sativa.
During preliminary interview, the terror suspect confirmed he was remanded at the Medium Security Correctional Centre in Kuje.
Sidi is facing charges bordering on terrorism and robbery.
NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa has directed his transfer to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
ISWAP claimed it busted the Kuje prison last Tuesday, and over 60 terrorists escaped.
The prison authorities have published the names of all the escapees.
One was re-arrested in Nasarawa last week.
