Lai Mohammed, CNN continue ENDSARS war in Washington
Nigeria-CNN media war is still raging almost 10 months after Information Minster Lai Mohammed petition the CNN headquarters in Atlanta over what he described as unprofessional job its Africa anchor Nima Elbagir did on the October 20 ENDSARS crisis.
Presenting fact-checked videos, audio, and reports to rubbish the CNN investigation he dubbed investigation of a massacre without dead bodies, Mohammed threatened to review Nigeria’s relationship with cable network.
He probably meant it.
In his tour of US media powerhouses so far, CNN has never been mentioned for once among those he has had series of talks with.
And Mohammed has met with editors from Politico, the Washington Post, BBC, and Reuters.
However, while it claimed it stood by its story, though it acknowledged to PRNigeria one of the pictures it used then was fake, CNN has never stopped reporting other stories about Nigeria.
