IPOB slides further into chaos as Kanu’s Finnish replacement gets fired
While its Nigerian base is slugging it out with leadership crisis resulting from command and control, IPOB is having a hell of time whipping into its Finland based zealots Simeon Ekpa.
Ekpa initially claimed to be in charge of Radio Biafra, the pirate radio station broadcasting inciting contents from London, immediately after the group’s leader Nnamdi Kanu was schlepped into Nigeria in July.
But the home group issued a statement denying Ekpa was appointed in that capacity. And his Facebook broadcasting sice then has been divisive, almost countering its spokesperson Emma Powerful in Nigeria.
In what appears a final solution to taking down the Finnish-Nigerian impostor, the group issued another statement August 22, throwing out Ekpa—for good.
The Finland branch of IPOB said Ekpa has never been a member according to its records.
A statement by Anthony Obasi, the national coordinator IPOB Finland, Chika Madu, national secretary IPOB Finland, Nwada Victoria, national financial secretary IPOB Finland, the group warned no member should relate with Ekpa again.
“We IPOB Finland family under the command and leadership of Oyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to make it categorically clear to whom it may concern, that Simon Ekpa is not a member of IPOB Finland.
“He has never been a part of us before now, and till date he is not a registered IPOB member according to our records.”
