Late Captain Hosa’s unfulfilled dream
Captain Okunbo Hosa died August 7 at a foreign hospital after months in a struggle with a downer (pancreatic cancer) he eventually surrendered to.
The retired captain and Edo businessman was a billionaire who had dreams just like every other person. But his had a difference.
In a past interview with Arise TV in 2020, Hosa revealed a little about his aspirations
“Most of my ambitions in life have been met,” he said, of his salad days as a businessman.
But his aspiration for the grey years—they might not be as he wished for now.
According to him, he wanted return home from his Ikoyi base in Lagos to Benin an old man.
“To come home and share God’s favour with my people. To be at peace with myself and my people,” he said.
Unfortunately, that dream was not realized.
