Lawmaker gives skill empowerment, start- up grants to over 360 Surulere youths
Over 360 youths of Surulere trained having acquired skills in different fields got certified and empowered with start-up grants courtesy Hon. Olushola Desmond Elliott.
The said youths groomed to be self reliant and economically independent, have gone through trainings between six months and two years as appropriate for their chosen skills, in A Youth A Skill (AYAS) initiative of the lawmaker.
AYAS is basically aimed at giving every youths equal opportunity for self sustenance.
According to the vibrant lawmaker, the intensive training initiative was borne out of his passion for youths development, given their inherent potentials which needs to be reshaped for their utmost benefit.

“This is the beginning of this kind of program, as there would be enough provision of this skills acquisition and upscaling training every year.
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed over the things that you didn’t do than the ones you did do, so Explore, Dream and Discover the greatness in you.
A number of skill moulders who were on hand to give required tutelage within a space of time includes, Mr. Ugo the CEO of Make-Me Beauty Saloon, The Renowned BISMID Cosmetology and beauty specialist, MCCoy style and fashions design instructor and Lanre Shittu trainers in Auto mechanics skills.

According to Mr Ajayi a Director in the ministry of wealth creation the lawmaker had proved to the world that he is a patriotic Legislator with the book of an inclusiveness government.
“This cannot be denied with his impactful life changing program from his assumption of Office as a lawmaker.”
The jubilant students expressed their appreciation for the impactful mien of their instructors and teachers.
They however promised to be of good behaviour and great ambassadors of AYAS by keeping the culture of good work ethics learnt during the course of the training.
