Lithuania begs US for more support for Ukraine, tougher actions against Russia
Lithuania has begged the US for more support for Ukraine and tougher actions to stop Russia invasion, if Russian forces go further. President Gitanas Nauseda of Lithuania told the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the dangers of allowing Russia to expand its invasion of smaller countries in Eastern Europe.
President Gitanas Nauseda of Lithuania expressed the fear that President Vladimir Putin of Russia “will not stop in Ukraine”. He was concerned that Russian President may proceed to expand the Russian territory into former Russia entities.
President Nauseda had declared: “It is our collective duty and obligation to help … Ukrainians by all means available.
“And when I say all, I indeed mean all. If you don’t, you’re going to a third World War.”
Blinken commended Lithuania’s support for Ukraine, he affirmed US’s support for the NATO alliance.
Lithuania was in the Soviet federation before the disintegration situated on the Baltic Sea, in the borders of Russia and Belarus.
Blinken declared: “No-one should doubt our readiness. No-one should doubt our resolve.
“An attack on one is an attack on all.”
