Man accidentally shot self while celebrating Adeleke’s victory
A man identified as Sunday Akingbala, has reportedly shot himself while celebrating the victory of Ademola Adeleke, governorship candidate of the party.
Though it was insinuated that Sunday being a member of PDP was celebrating the victory of the party in the just concluded governorship poll when he accidentally shot himself.
But another source in Iraye, who pleaded for anonymity, told our correspondent, that Sunday was not celebrating PDP’s victory as being claimed when the incident happened.
It was also rumoured that Sunday is an operative of Osun Amotekun Corps and passed on after he was rushed to a private hospital in Ile-Ife.
But the Field Commander, Osun Amotekun Corps, Amitolu Shittu, said the victim was not a member of the organisation.
He said, “He is not an operative of Amotekun. And from our findings, he is not dead. But he actually shot self and was rushed to a private hospital in Ile-Ife.”
