Man arraigned for stealing feeds valued N12.3m Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, gets N5 million.
A 39-year old man, Abubakar Kabir, was on Friday arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over alleged theft of feeds worth N12.3 million.
Kabir, whose address was not given, is being charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Femi Oluwadare, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 6, at Bodija, Ibadan.
Oluwadare said that Kabir stole feeds valued N12.3 million, belonging to a firm, Breedwell Feeds Limited.
He said that the offence contravened Section 383 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, M Mudashiru admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N5 million, with two sureties in like sum.
Mudashiru said that one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the defendant.
He adjourned the matter until Dec. 19, for hearing on the case of man being tried for stealing feeds.
